555th Tactical Fighter Squadron was
attached to the 8th Fighter Wing from February 1966 until June 1968 where it flew the
F-4 Phantom II aircraft. Today the 555th Tactical Fighter Squadron
is assigned to the 31st Operations Group at Aviano Air Base, Italy,
where it operates F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft.
